What if missing a post isn’t failure, but information? A reflection on shame, schedules, healing spirals, and the quiet work of listening to your body.
Great post. I like you. Let’s write for each other…whenever we feel inspired…fuck productivity.
And a great piece of advice my editor/teacher gave me when I started writing in here, I’ll pass along, she said, (something to the effect) No one is waiting for our words. We have to obligation. She didn’t put that pressure on herself nor on the writers she loves and follows. She’s just grateful when there is something new to read.
It’s good advice, isn’t it? We have these days, this schedule in our head but no one else does. Thst truly freed me one the micro level from the idea of a schedule for anyone else, and in the macro level from the idea that I’m writing for anyone else. Anytime I feel that sense of tail wagging the dog, I pull back, recenter, light a candle, meditate, sleep. (Those are my personal things)
Anywsy, I’m serious about writing for each other. I’ll be reading you. You’re delightful. I love your voice, and I feel the wisdom. And I’ll be happy to read it anytime you feel inspired to write.
Thank you for your kind words! I love it, fuck productivity is right. What a messed up program we have been trained for. Great advice about writing. What a liberating thought, “no one is waiting for our words”. 💜
Thank you 🙏 again

We have Heather to thank for that,
Heather has been a huge catalyst for me this year. She is such a blessing to so many people.
That she is. ❤️
